Bring the Lions

October 26, 2001 — The enemy has successfully kept the nominal “Christian” out of the fight. He has convinced the Christian that his place is in the institutional church, strapped to a plow, and not at the foot of the Cross. He has deified Compromise, and demonized Courage. He has convinced the Christian man that mental and physical pacifism will be easily mistaken for spiritual gallantry. He has sold us a proxy for all that the Lord desired for us. He has convinced the religious world that “authority” is a sword only rightly wielded by government and the church, and that “submission” means bowing the knee to political and ecclesiastical Caesars.

But our enemy is surely the Father of all Lies.

Maybe you have believed a few of them? Jesus said that He was as a man taking a far journey. He said that He left his house, and gave AUTHORITY to his servants. In the Gospel of John, we learn that Jesus Christ had received from his Father, the AUTHORITY to do judgment and justice. Jesus Christ, upon leaving this earth, gave the awesome authority and responsibility to do judgment and justice to HIS SERVANTS. His Servants were to serve as this authority in His absence. Throughout the history of national Israel we see that God holds the people directly responsible for their government.

The 13th chapter of Romans is likely the most misconstrued and abused section of scripture in modern history. In these verses, Paul identifies the specific punishment that awaits those who deny this Godly authority.

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation”. The word “power” in verse 2, is the Greek word EXOUSIA - which is translated throughout the New Testament as AUTHORITY.

In America, this “authority” was codified forever into the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The Constitution explicitly stated that “authority” was given by GOD to MAN. And that “The People”, held the authority on earth, in God’s stead. Particularly, many of the founders believed that a Christian people were the only people who could properly govern themselves. If they were maintained and guided by GOD indwelling them, they could properly extend judgment and justice to a dead and dying world.

Specifically, Government was instituted among men so that evildoers would be punished, and that all murderers would be killed. In Genesis 9 verse 6 we learn that the authority was given to MAN to punish murderers. Only in the new world was this authority taken literally. We are a nation of KINGS and PRIESTS. As a council of Kings, we instituted among ourselves a subservient servant-government designed to do judgment and justice on our behalf. But when the servant becomes abusive of these ends, when it goes about smiting the innocent and protecting the guilty - God shall hold the King responsible for the evil done in the land. In America, the biblical institution of government was properly aligned. Righteous men were to be the Kings, wielding the sword of justice, and the servant of man was the government.

Maybe you have been sold a proxy for even this Godly institution?

Now, it seems, that whores in the parliament and in the church have decreed that THEY are the authority. They sit in the seat of Christ as Lawgiver and Priest. Only through them may we be deemed “good servants”. But what did Christ say? He said that he left authority with US, his servants, and that He will return on the day appointed to receive a report on how we disposed our duties on His behalf!

“Well, Lord… We have turned the authority of KING over to tyrants and murderers. We would not be ruled by the perfect Law of Righteousness. We suffered fools and devils to rule over us. Since we were not righteous, we allowed your decreed hierarchy to be inverted. The innocent and the just are slain without defense, while the evil ones are permitted to prosper. We would not accept your invitation to be ‘a nation of Kings and Priests’, so we placed hirelings and devils on the throne. We abdicated our responsibility so that when you return, Lord, we can point to the hirelings and shake our heads — because our sleeping shepherds convinced us that our hands would be clean. For filthy lucre’s sake, they refused to tell us the truth.”

Around us you may examine the fruit of our folly. Still the cowards and charlatans scream for pacifism at all costs. Amerika has become a place like one that is mentioned in Hosea - “all her princes are revolters”. Yet the King (the people) will not demand justice and judgment, nor will this council of Kings wield the sword in order to defend the defenseless or to punish and vanquish his rebellious servants. The King has become a rewarder of that which is evil and a punisher of that which is good. How will such a King stand the judgment that rightly comes upon his land?

They should hate you.

This world is corrupt. It should hate you and despitefully use you. One of my good brothers was attacked the other day. His mother-in-law had been watching the mainstream media reports on “Terrorism”. She called her daughter and asked if my friend, her husband, was “a terrorist” like Bin Ladin. He must be a terrorist is he is anti-government, right? My friend was perplexed and angry. I told him, “Don’t be. Where are our stripes? If all those who choose to live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution — where is OUR persecution? Why are we not yet beaten for righteousness sake? It is not a commentary on society; it is a commentary on US. Lord, here is our prayer — ‘Make us in your image. If we are like you, the world will have to hate us. Lord God make us more like you. Have them pick up rods and stones against us, O’ Lord. Do not threaten us with our mother-in-laws…Bring the lions!’”

To whom are you listening?

Let us change gears for a moment to emphasize the point. Courage has been swapped with Compromise. Their meanings have been inverted. There has been much talk lately of Summer Soldiers and Sunshine Patriots. In these days of empty rhetoric, there seems to be an overabundance of verbal compromise and a dearth of shoe-leather courage. This quote from Thomas Paine has been circulating on the internet: “These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”

It seems that we are now enamored with the “alternative” media. Yet these same “alternative” media outlets bow the knee to the same god of compromise and mammon as the mainstream media from which they try so hard to separate themselves.

I’ll give you an example: Two of the most hyped “alternative opinion sources” around today are Fox News (particularly Bill O’Reilly), and WorldNetDaily. Both of these news/opinion sources trumpet their independence and their willingness to challenge the politically correct thinking of the day. Both of these sources shout that they are the place for you to go to get the “No-Spin” truth about the issues of the day.

REALLY?

Ask yourselves, would MY opinions (which are reasonable and rational when compared with those of the revolutionaries and the reformers of the past, although they are certainly unreasonable when weighed on a modern group-think scale) be allowed on either of these “alternative” news or opinion sources? You can bet NOT! The truth, it seems, is important only so long as it is easily digestible, warmed over, and sterile. They will herald their own willingness to be “politically incorrect”, only so far as that mindset doesn’t finally and ultimately brazenly challenge the legitimacy of the two reigning institutions of church and state. I am repeatedly questioned as to why I have not been asked to offer commentary on any of the burgeoning “alternative” media outlets. I will tell you why I will not be invited to their party.

The plain and simple truth is; they are not as willing to shock the system as they say they are.

There can only be three possible reasons:

1. They think that I am not credible — in which case I lay before them all of my articles, archived on my website. They are dated and can be crosschecked easily. If I have been right, an easy check will prove that. If I have been wrong, then I am an idiot for leaving all of my public opinions out there for anyone to peruse. They may say that I am “extreme”, but they cannot say that I am not credible.

2. They think that I do not have an audience. That too can be checked easily. I will tell you that my audience, though varied and untraditional — is larger than they would possibly like to admit. Once again, this is easily verifiable. OR…

3. They are not quite as brave and courageous as they make themselves out to be. Maybe they don't REALLY want to receive the heat that they claim to get for being politically incorrect.
