There IS an underground church here

Christian people are meeting in homes and businesses, barns and carpet stores, backyards and living rooms. There are thousands who have not bought the big lie. They have not believed that the only way to be in “fellowship” is to submit oneself to the 501c-3 Harlot Church System. They have not swallowed the lie that to meet in homes with the brethren is to “forsake the gathering of ourselves together”. Rather, it reflects the purity and actuality of fellowship experienced by the first century saints. These people have eschewed the nominal “christian” policy that bowing the knee to the state-sponsored church is the only way to be one with Christ Jesus. They have chosen to resist the subtle tyranny of institutional religious systems, so that they might serve as bondslaves to the Lord their God, and to one another.

Resistance is NOT Futile!

Lately we have been speaking about the Conscience. The conscience is one of the important communication “links” we have with God. The Apostles made it abundantly clear that this organ of communication was to be protected and serviced above all else. Paul says of himself in the book of Acts, “I exercise myself to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.” Please read that again more closely, Paul thought that it was important. This is not to say that we WILL not offend God or man. For we know that God is rightfully offended at all manner of sin – and certainly, men may take offense at the most righteous or godly of acts. Christ offended men. None sought after Him. What Paul insists here, is that that we are to act at all times according to the dictates of CONSCIENCE.

Resistance is work

Paul says, “I EXERCISE MYSELF” towards this purity of conscience. Which of course stipulates that this act of obeying the conscience is always at variance with the desires of the world and the flesh. Paul likens this act to bodily exercise. There is a gravity or a resistance involved with bodily exercise that causes the straining of muscles against a force in opposition to the act. Likewise, obeying the conscience, then, is an act of resistance; it is an act of exercise.

Obeying the conscience is an act of the will, whereby we subordinate the will of the flesh to the mind of Christ, which dwells in us. It is by obeying the conscience, immediately, without regard to consequence, that we become enemies of the world and of all of those principalities who now govern it. Thus we see that, in spite of what tyrants and cowards might say, CHRISTIAN RESISTANCE is born of a good and pure conscience – and not of rebellion. It is this present world, and the principalities that govern the world, who are in rebellion against the Creator of the universe. Christian Resistance is merely a mechanism by which the reality of our being IN CHRIST JESUS is made manifest to a world that suffers in rebellion against God.

In the letter to the Romans, Paul says of the Gentiles that though they have not the written Law, they have in themselves the work of the Law written on their hearts, their Conscience bearing witness by either accusing or excusing their actions towards one another, and towards God. In the 13th chapter of Romans (a chapter I talked about in my last article), Paul says that we are to be under righteous authority. Submitting ourselves to a righteous authority (one who punishes evil and rewards good) allows us to live our lives according to the dictates of our conscience. The Spirit of God, living inside His people is righteous authority. The principle here does not change. By submitting ourselves to righteous authority, we may live our lives according to conscience. By submitting ourselves to unrighteous authority — we must, then, continually abuse and reject the dictates of our conscience if we are to remain in unity with unrighteousness. The 14th Chapter of Romans is a dissertation on living according to the conscience, and why it is so important – concluding with the understanding that “Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.”

This same Paul, in writing his first letter to his brother Timothy, explains that living according to the dictates of conscience IS the end of the Law. He tells Timothy that the mystery of the faith is to be held in a PURE CONSCIENCE, and that, in the last days, there will come those who speak lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron. Paul considers the searing of the conscience an abominable thing. The conscience, being seared, grows callused and ineffective. It ceases to function for the purpose for which it was created. The voice of God grows silent, not because God is silent, but because we have hardened and abused the organ that He uses to communicate with us. The warning is important because those that have a hardened conscience will inevitably be ruled and manipulated by men, ministries, rules and organizations, merely because they will not be ruled by God. Those who are the most vociferous of the Law keepers, will inevitably violate that one exhortation that screams at them with such immediacy: Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation!

God is not silent!

We have shown that obedience to the conscience manifests itself to the world as Resistance. Yet the New World Order marches forth (both in the political and ecclesiastical arenas) like a knife through butter. People are confused, and they don’t know what to do. Even those who would tend to agree with me on a few issues, are perplexed or angered at the entirety of my message. Those from the religious aisles consider me to be too militant – and those from the militant side consider me to be too religious. Both the modern Pharisees and the Patriots want a political solution that ignores the rotted corpse of their spiritual lives, and instead enthrones a newer, kinder, gentler tyrant. Talk about freedom, they say, but only the shadow of freedom that will leave folks under the foot of Rome, or under the altar of Self. True resistance to the antichrist world system would involve a rejection of both the BEAST world government system and the IMAGE OF THE BEAST – that perfect representation of the beast that exists in the hierarchy of the church house. If either of these two systems had any answers for the way we are to live our daily lives, then we would have seen their fruit years ago. The culture you see around you is the fruit of these two world systems. How’s that working out for ya?

The only workable solution for these last days is that the Body of our Lord must become a viable organism on the planet. We must begin to listen to the head and resist those voices that answer to the Prince of this world. God is not silent. He desires that we enjoy Him. He desires that we be partakers and witnesses of His work in these days. He desires that we be made perfect, and that His sovereignty and majesty be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly realms… Through the CHURCH! Not that religious corporation on every street-corner, but the corporate body of all those who are being made perfect IN HIM. If we are hearing His voice, we will be resisters. Tyranny will be made plain, because tyrants will have no power over those who are active in the fight. They can kill us, but they cannot rule us. Maybe you could be useful in this fight as well?

If God is speaking to you, heed his voice. Do not harden your heart. We are not slaves to lifestyles and conveniences – we are bondslaves to a Risen Lord. If God says stop it, then stop it. If He says do it, then do it. Bring everything into subjection to what God has said in your heart and in His scripture. Quit living in fear, God is not silent! If you will submit to be ruled by your own flesh or by dead men and pulpit prostitutes, then you will be left deaf and dumb in a fight that, even now, bears down on us with all the weight of history. If you will be ruled by shallow traditions and hollow religious observances, then you will be disarmed in a war that was shaped in the eternals.

A good conscience is one that works. It will help you to go either to the left or to the right. It will tell you what is right and what is wrong. A good conscience cannot be manipulated, and it will not compromise. A pure conscience is one that is certain of its purity and righteousness before God. It has accepted the only sufficient sacrifice for sin, the specific redemption offered by Jesus Christ on the cross. The pure conscience can step out boldly each day – confident that God has granted the redeemed one permanent, timeless right-standing in his sight. A pure conscience cannot be manipulated by guilt or tradition. It cannot successfully be threatened. It will stand firm, regardless of the consequences – because it has faithfully believed in the promises of God.

In this mystery lies the higher life. It is a life of joy, peace and comfort – even on the battlefield, in the prisons or on the scaffold. It is the secret place of the Most High God.

It also explains why most of the people will love to go to meetings, but they will never really DO anything.

There is a new vision for the Underground Church. God’s church is an activist church. Resistance is NOT futile. Three years ago I was stunned that the Underground Church could exist in this country. I was too certain that men would so love the comfort of the corrupt corporate church, that they would reject the hardship of the higher life. Most often I was right, but quite often I was wrong. There is a thirst for the reality of true Christian fellowship that exists only in the remnant that God has called to that higher life. And now God has called to us again. We were created for such a time as this. Examine your conscience and see that it is both GOOD and PURE, so that those who He has called will stand up in this day of trouble.

I hint at a new vision of resistance. God has called us to this resistance.

It is the only fight that counts.
