wolf warning! don't just look at their suit, check their fruit

For I know this, that after my departing
shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. ...

"The Gospel, like its blessed Master, is always crucified between two thieves --
legalist of all sorts on the one hand and Antinomians on the other; the former robbing the Saviour of the
glory of his work for us, and the other robbing him of the glory of his work within us." - James Henley Thornwell

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening
wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good
tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil
fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down,
and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord,
shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(Matt. 7:15-21)
In this area of LazarusUnbound, we hope to provide a place for warnings against those grievous wolves who would not
spare the sheep. Thornwell said that the Gospel, like its Master, is crucified between two thieves (legalism and
antinomianism), and most wolves fall into these two categories... we will add a third category for just plain heretics.
Of course there is no way to identify all of them, and if we did, our website could not contain all their names, so we
pray that God has given the sheep enough discernment to pick out the really obvious ones (TBN comes to mind). We'll focus
on the more dangerous and subtle characters... Feel free to contact us if you find someone that needs to be on the list.
